New build access is a sequence, not a single visit. The scaffold goes up in staged lifts as the brickwork rises, gets altered for the roof, carries the trades through first fix and comes down once the elevations are finished. We work to the site programme, come back for alterations when they are needed and keep the paperwork current the whole way through.

Lifts raised as the brickwork goes up, so the bricklayers are always working off a platform at the right height.
Raised and adapted for roof work, then dropped back down for render, fascias and finishing trades.
Sole boards, base plates and where necessary a designed base for the ground you actually have on a live site.
Erect, alteration and strike dates agreed at the start and held, because on a new build everything behind us moves with it.
Yes. Self-build single plots, small developments of a handful of units and one-off replacement dwellings are all regular work for us around Southampton and the villages beyond it. A single plot gets the same staged approach as a larger site, it just runs over a shorter programme.
The quote sets out the visits we expect from the programme you give us, typically the initial erect, the lift raises as the brickwork goes up, an adaptation for the roof and the strike. Extra visits caused by programme changes are priced as they arise, and we tell you the cost before we do them rather than after.
Yes. Anything outside the standard TG20 compliant configurations, and that includes heavy duty loading, unusual spans, bridged sections over obstructions and some temporary roofs, gets a scaffold design from an engineer before it goes up, and the design lives with the handover paperwork.
It is the first thing we look at on a new build. Standards need a solid, level bearing, so on soft or made-up ground that means sole boards, spread bases, or on the worst sites a designed foundation. Getting it wrong shows up as settlement weeks later, which is why we would rather look at the ground before we quote.
Yes. Roof edge protection is part of the roof-stage adaptation, with guardrails set at the correct height above the eaves for the pitch. If the roofers want something specific for their method, tell us before the adaptation and we will build it in rather than changing it twice.
Every enquiry gets an answer and a date within 7 days. For a new build programme, the earlier you get us the dates the better, because the erect has to land between the slab and the first lift of brickwork. Once we are on the programme we plan the alterations around your dates.
