A lot of what we do is direct for main contractors on commercial refurbishments and new build, and we also work for roofing, cladding, render and solar contractors who need access as part of their own package. Either way you get one point of contact for the erect, any alterations and the strike, rather than being passed around.

Yes, and on retail and hospitality units it is often the only sensible way to do it. Erecting a shopfront scaffold before opening or after close means the unit trades normally through the job. It needs planning a week or two out so we have the team and any licences lined up, so tell us early if that is what the site needs.

Yes. Risk assessments and method statements are issued for the job before we come to site, along with insurance details and the design information for anything that is not a standard TG20 configuration. If your principal contractor has a particular format or a portal they want it uploaded to, tell us and we will work to it.

Scaffolding in use has to be inspected before first use and at intervals not exceeding seven days, and after anything that could affect its stability such as a storm. We carry those inspections out and record them, and the record stays with the scaffold. If your site prefers to inspect it themselves, that is fine, but the handover certificate still comes from us.

Yes, and most of our commercial work is on premises that carry on trading or teaching while we are there. That means covered walkways and fans over entrances, netting or sheeting where debris is a risk, clear signage, and access that keeps the public and the site separate. It is planned into the design rather than improvised on the day.
